Meet Local Candidates for Office in September

A forum series presented by the League of Women Voters of Bloomington & Monroe County at the Library allows you to see real live candidates for local public office throughout late September. Local government often affects our lives more than federal and state government do, so the forums are your chance to get involved by hearing what the candidates have to say and asking them questions directly.

The following candidates are scheduled to appear on the dates below:

Tuesday, September 27
State Representative, District 61:

Wednesday, September 28
County Council at-large:

  • Lee Jones (D)
  • Geoff McKim (D)
  • Cheryl Munson (D)
  • Hal Turner (R)


Thursday, September 29
MCCSC School Board, District 2:

  • Jim Billingsley
  • Sue Wanzer


MCCSC School Board, District 4:

  • Cathy Fuentes-Rohwer
  • James Shackelford


MCCSC School Board, District 6:

  • Lois Sabo-Skelton
  • Martin Spechler
